About

Serving a small menu that focuses on good ingredients and simple eating, Spider on a Bicycle is a warm, welcoming space for all members of the community to enjoy.  Whether it is a delicious bowl of hot soup, fresh handmade baking or a carefully prepared artisan coffee, everything is made in house and served with thought and care.

We serve speciality coffee sourced from Papercup Coffee Company in Glasgow.  Whichever single origin bean is in the hopper, we will have full traceability back to where the coffee was grown, and our baristas are always happy to chat more with you about your brew!

Our aim was to create a home from home, a space filled with warmth where the genuine spirit of what we are doing shines through.

Everyone is welcome here to meet, eat and enjoy.

FAQs

Can I book a table?

We don't take reservations at the cafe, it's just first come first served for seats.  Please note that because we make everything ourselves, on busy days there may be less choice in the afternoons.

Are you dog friendly?

Well behaved dogs are most welcome in the cafe, please do be considerate of other customers.

 Are you kid friendly?

As above! We have options for kids on the menu, colouring and story books, and make a mean wee hot chocolate.

Is the cafe accessible?

There are no stairs, and all the doorways (including bathroom) can accommodate a standard size wheelchair. There is turning space for a chair within the bathroom, which is also fitted with handrails, though we recognise the bathroom layout may not be suitable for all.  There are two blue badge parking spaces directly in front of the cafe. Please do send an email if you have any particular questions and we will do our best to help.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

There are always GF, DF, Vegan and nut free options on the menu and for cake.  Whilst some things will be fine for those with a gluten intolerance, our small kitchen space means that they may not be ok for those with severe coeliac disease.  Please do speak with us about your requirements, and make sure to let us know about allergies when ordering.  We do our best to accommodate within our small menu.

Do you have a menu online?

We don't have a menu online at the moment, but check out our instagram page to get an idea of what we serve up!
